Minister Ngaree Ah Kit visits Katherine site
Minister for Disability the Hon. Ngaree Ah Kit recently visited our Katherine building site and was hosted by Project Director Laura Shellie.
Minister Ah Kit says: “After delivering the first purpose-built SDA in the Northern Territory in November, Somerville is currently progressing five new SDA homes in Katherine.
The delivery of these new homes will have a major impact on disability accommodation and is a welcome boost for the Katherine region.
SDA enables people with very high support needs to live as independently as possible.
This type of development gives people with complex disability the opportunity to live in the community and be independent, while receiving the level of support they need.
I can’t wait to see these homes finished and filled with happy new residents!”
